Pangolin Chobe Hotel

Pangolin Chobe Hotel is a photographer’s dream – a hotel designed specifically for photographers located in the backyard of Chobe National Park in Botswana.  The rooms were spacious and modern, each with a private balcony overlooking a watering hole below and with a spectacular view overlooking The Chobe River and Namibia’s Caprivi floodplains. The staff  members were all so friendly, and the food was amazing.  Dinners were served alfresco on the outdoor deck under the stars. And each evening included open bar along with a slide presentation by one of the Pangolin photo experts. In addition to specially designed vehicles on land and water to accommodate photographers, the hotel loaned guests Canon cameras with 600 millimeter lenses – perfect for capturing wildlife images!

This is the view from our balcony.  One day it would be elephants at the watering hole, the next day warthogs, then a family of baboons. Absolutely incredible!

We are happy to share a special heartwarming video that shows the reaction of the wonderful staff at the Pangolin when the owners gave them a surprise Christmas gift in 2019 to celebrate their first year.  We got a bit emotional especially as we recognized many of the friendly staff.
