Great Photo Locations Near Acadia

A few of our favorite places to photograph in Maine are stops on our drive up to Acadia, or a day trip from Acadia National Park.

Pemaquid Lighthouse

On the way to Acadia, if one gets off the main road and meanders up the coast along Route 1, a stop at the Pemaquid Lighthouse in Bristol,Maine, at the tip of the Pemaquid Neck is on every photographer’s bucket list. The rugged rocks are relentlessly pounded by the surf, resulting in pools of water that act like mirrors and reflect the image of the lighthouse above.
