We explored downtown Scottsdale in the morning then headed out to the Sonoran Desert for sunset. Our small group of photographers were the only people in a desert filled with thousands of cacti, many of them blooming with spectacular flowers. We worked on capturing silhouettes of the cacti as the sun set, then enjoyed a cowboy dinner at MacDonald Ranch as we sat around picnic tables in the middle of the desert.
The next day we explored the Desert Botanical Gardens – an amazing display of fascinating desert plants and flowers.
